Motor Transport Supervisor
Job Description:
Filling up the post of Motor Transport Supervisor in the revised pay structure of PB-2 (Rs. 9300-34800/-) with Grade Pay Rs. 4200/- [Rs. 5000-150-8000/- (PR)] in the O/o. UPSC on deputation basis.
it is proposed to fill up one vacancy of Motor Transport Supervisor (General Central Service, Group ‘C, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial) in the revised pay structure of PB-2 (Rs. 9300-34800/-) with Grade Pay Rs. 4200/- [Rs. 5000- 150-8000/- (PR)] in the O/o. UPSC on deputation basis.
Eligibility Conditions:-
From amongst the officers under the Central Govemment:-
(A) (i) holding analogous posts on regular basis; or
(ii) with 3 years’ regular service in the scale of pay of Rs. 4500-7000/-(PR) or equivalent; or (iii) with 8 years’ regular service in the scale of pay of Rs. 4000-6000/- (PR) or equivalent; or
(iv) with 16 years’ regular service in the scale of pay of Rs. 3050-4590/-(PR) or equivalent; And (B) having seven years experience in Motor Transport work, in posts involving duties relating to use, care, custody, repair and maintenance of vehicles under the Central Government; And
(C) having a valid driving licence for motor cars.
2. Duties and responsibilities attached to the post of Motor Transport Supervisor:-
(i) Controlling of various activities in Staff Car Unit.
(ii) To deploy drivers on the duty of Hon’ ble Chairman, Hon’ ble Members, higher officers & staff of UPSC.
(iii) To s end the Govt, vehicles in workshop for service/repairing/ maintenance from time to time.
(iv) Fueling of vehicles and inspect log book from time to time.
(v) To check the bills received from workshop and Petrol pumps and to make payments thereof.
(vi) To give necessary instructions to drivers regarding vehicles.
(vii) To make the drivers aware about Traffic Rules.
(viii) To make arrangement of vehicles during various examinations conducted by the Commission.
3. Regulation of pay and other terms of deputation:- The pay and other terms of deputation will be regulated under the provisions contained in the D/o. Personnel & Training O.M. No. 2/29/91-Estt. (Pay-ll) dated: 05-01-1994 as amended from time to time.
4. Age-Limit: The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall not exceed 56 (fifty six) years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
5. Period of deputation:- Period of deputation including period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the. same or other organization/department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed three years.
