<p>Filling up the post of Motor Transport Supervisor in the revised pay structure of PB-2 (Rs. 9300-34800/-) with Grade Pay Rs. 4200/- [Rs. 5000-150-8000/- (PR)] in the O/o. UPSC on deputation basis.</p>
<p>it is proposed to fill up one vacancy of Motor Transport Supervisor (General Central Service, Group &#8216;C, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial) in the revised pay structure of PB-2 (Rs. 9300-34800/-) with Grade Pay Rs. 4200/- [Rs. 5000- 150-8000/- (PR)] in the O/o. UPSC on deputation basis.</p>
<p>Eligibility Conditions:-</p>
<p>From amongst the officers under the Central Govemment:-</p>
<p>(A) (i) holding analogous posts on regular basis; or</p>
<p>(ii) with 3 years&#8217; regular service in the scale of pay of Rs. 4500-7000/-(PR) or equivalent; or (iii) with 8 years&#8217; regular service in the scale of pay of Rs. 4000-6000/- (PR) or equivalent; or</p>
<p>(iv) with 16 years&#8217; regular service in the scale of pay of Rs. 3050-4590/-(PR) or equivalent; And (B) having seven years experience in Motor Transport work, in posts involving duties relating to use, care, custody, repair and maintenance of vehicles under the Central Government; And</p>
<p>(C) having a valid driving licence for motor cars.</p>
<p>2. Duties and responsibilities attached to the post of Motor Transport Supervisor:-</p>
<p>(i) Controlling of various activities in Staff Car Unit.</p>
<p>(ii) To deploy drivers on the duty of Hon&#8217; ble Chairman, Hon&#8217; ble Members, higher officers &amp; staff of UPSC.</p>
<p>(iii) To s end the Govt, vehicles in workshop for service/repairing/ maintenance from time to time.</p>
<p>(iv) Fueling of vehicles and inspect log book from time to time.</p>
<p>(v) To check the bills received from workshop and Petrol pumps and to make payments thereof.</p>
<p>(vi) To give necessary instructions to drivers regarding vehicles.</p>
<p>(vii) To make the drivers aware about Traffic Rules.</p>
<p>(viii) To make arrangement of vehicles during various examinations conducted by the Commission.</p>
<p>3. Regulation of pay and other terms of deputation:- The pay and other terms of deputation will be regulated under the provisions contained in the D/o. Personnel &amp; Training O.M. No. 2/29/91-Estt. (Pay-ll) dated: 05-01-1994 as amended from time to time.</p>
<p>4. Age-Limit: The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall not exceed 56 (fifty six) years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.</p>
<p>5. Period of deputation:- Period of deputation including period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the. same or other organization/department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed three years.</p>

The qualifications, experience etc. required for the post are given in Annexure-I.<br />

<br />7. Pay and Allowances on deputation : In accordance with the general orders issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure vide their O.M. No. 10(24)-E-III (B)/60 dated 4-5-1961, as amended from time to time.<br />
<br />8. Duties and responsibilities of the post : Supervision and co-ordination of the work pertaining to the entire Mines Control &amp; Conservation of Mineral Division. Responsible for achievement of the targets set for the division. Guiding the officers of the division in technical and administr ative aspects of their work. To issue directives for maintaining uniformity of approach, adoption of clear-cut, objectives and monitor and supervise the work of all zonal, regional and sub- regional offices. To examine and process the revision applications against the order issued by the subordinate officers. To set standard norms for all Regional Mines Environment and Mineral Conservation Week Committees for organizing the week. To assist the Controller General, Indian Bureau of Mines in various technical and administrative matters and tender advice on policy formula??tion, implementation of various activities of the department, etc.. To discharge any other duties as may be assigned by the Controller General or by the Administrative Ministry.<br />
<br />9. Educational qualifications, experience and eligibility for the post : Officers of the Central Government or State Governments or Public Sector Undertakings or recognized research institutions or Autonomous Bodies;<br />
<br />(a) i) holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre/ Department; OR<br />
<br />ii) with 2 years in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the scale of pay of Rs. 16400-450-20000 or equivalent in the parent cadre/Department; OR iii) with three years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the scale of Rs. 14300-400-18300 or equivalent in the parent cadre/Department; (b) Possessing the educational qualifications and experience prescribed for direct recruits as follows:<br />
<br />(A) ESSENTIAL<br />
<br />(i) Degree in Mining Engineering of a recognized University or equivalent; (ii) Fifteen years experience in a Supervisory capacity in Metalliferrous Mines or in Government Department dealing with Metalliferrous Mines.<br />
<br />(B) DESIRABLE<br />
<br />Post Graduate degree in Mining Engineering of a recognised University&#8217;or equivalent.Working knowledge of computers with special emphasis on commonly used softwares in offices.<br />
<br />Note 1: &#8211; Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of Union Publ ic Service Commission in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. Note 2:- The qualifications regarding experience are relaxable at the discretion of Union Public Service Commission in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes if, at any stage of selection, the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the-requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the posts reser??ved for them.</p>
